Fort Augustus - Tyndrum mazza Aug 29th 2008, 11:32 125.7km
Plotted along A82 although there are quieter roads as an option to begin with which would not add much distance wise. Options to stop at tyndrum or continue further

Great route this - quite testing but you can take your lemon because most of it's largely traffic free

Lairg/Carbisdale/Tain - Fort Augustus mazza Aug 29th 2008, 11:21 131.3km
This route can work from Lairg, Carbisdale or Tain. Takes us across Kessock bridge which would be pretty cool. Heading south of Loch Ness means less traffic , no tour buses and better views of the loch. Bit of a climb out of Inverness but a nice 5 miles descent into Fort Augustus. Campsite and hostels in Fort Augustus.

Monster climb, then roll across Scotland's tree-bereft landscape.
