Tigerville to Mine Mountain Rd OTTR Nov 24th 2009, 02:30 64km
This is a challenging course. Be careful on Mine Mt road all the way back to 176. There is some loose gravel in the road and some sharp turns and stop signs at the bottom of hills. Nice and slow on the decents and you should be safe.

Hilton Head Island Route dfirth Apr 19th 2011, 05:00 67.7km

There are many gated areas in Hilton Head however this route can be ridden by anyone and it includes pretty much everything there is to ride on the island. Note that there are bike paths in Sea Pines but you have to pay for a gate pass and the guards will not let you in Shipyard or HHP on a bike unless you are a guest there. The recreational rider will enjoy most of this. The enthusiast may become frustrated with the many intersections and recreational riders/walkers using the bike paths. Many locals do not respect our right to ride on the road. I advise getting your ride in early in the morning since the bike paths are mostly empty at that time. The suggested starting point is the Road Fish Bike Shop on Highway 278 although you can begin anywhere along the route. The folks at the Road Fish are very helpful and can suggest routes off island. They also rent nice road bikes there.
