| This is a commuting route I use on my road bike. Most is on road though a few short bits are on rough cinder track. Quite hilly and makes the use of as many dedicated paths as possible. If on MTB - fun to be had by varying slightly through Portbury Docks area and Blaise Castle. Also can be extended any which way to give an interesting and varied training route. There are also some great pubs along the way (and some not-so-great ones!) Enjoy. |

| A breathtakingly scenic and hilly ride on the Somerset / Wiltshire border. Not the longest of rides but peppered with short, sharp climbs and a testing grind, but with a bonus of beautiful scenery and some eye-watering descents - oh and a lofty Gothic folly for good measure!
EXPERT Ride; of rolling hills, good road surfaces, and long, fast traffic free sections to enjoy; GEARS: 39x25 or a Compact; BIKE SHOPS: Halfords in Frome; INFO: Frome Tourist Centre, 01373 467271. |
