LA BMP - Sepulveda Blvd SFV to Westwood |

| Note to Planners: It is important to defend this route against traffic plans that would make it unbike-able; the "reversible lane" proposal for Sepulveda Blvd may make biking Sepulveda more dangerous. For the entire west SF Valley this is the way over the Santa Monica Mountains into West LA, Santa Monica and the beaches. |

| This is my alternate route home from work. The small section of Fletcher I ride is not bike friendly, yet it's one of only several options for cyclists crossing the LA River in this area. Road surface on Silverlake Blvd around the reservior is poor. The split at Sunset and Griffith Park Blvd. needs signage to alert NB drivers crossing the bike lane. Bike lane on Sunset is frequently and illegally blocked by film crews. |

| My preferred route to visit mom in Burbank. Can also take the LA River bike path instead of going through the park. Can also take W. Glenoaks instead of Kenneth if traffic is light. |

| My daily commute to work. The worst part is getting past the freeway entrances and exits, especially the entrance for the 5 north from EB Los Feliz and the exit from the 5 south to WB Los Feliz. Los Feliz near the freeway is hairy, but there's no better option for getting across the LA River without going much further north or south. Los Feliz west of Vermont needs a shoulder for both eastbound and westbound lanes. You HAVE to take the lane west of Vermont. |

| This is the way I go to visit my sister. I avoid major streets when possible and crossing arterials is aided by traffic lights most of the time. Road surface on 4th street is poor. Loop detectors for bikes at Wilton would be helpful. Del Valle at Fairfax is blocked to cars, but accessible to bikes. Could be even easier. Crossing San Vicente is actually not as easy as it may look due to the large median in the center of the roadway. |

| My preferred route to Pasadena. Can also take River bike path instead of Riverside Dr. to Fletcher. Fletcher from Riverside to San Fernando Rd. is very unsafe for cyclists. Road condition on York, just east of the 110 is awful. There's a short but steep hill to climb from Arroyo to W Holly street. Walnut helps to avoid heavy traffic on Colorado. Can also turn off Arroyo at California for a longer but less steep climb. Then you enter Old Town from the south. |

| Bikely does not work well in Safari, so I hope it is viewable for BMP review.
This route is the best east-west one I know between Hollywood & Silver Lake, and I think that Fountain would be a great candidate for a "Complete Street" or Bicycle Boulevard. |

| Going from southwest Los Angeles to Brentwood on my daily commute, via Century City. 18th st and Monte Mar would be a great bike route if there were fewer stop signs. Pico in Beverly Hills / Century City is terrible, but there are few east/west alternatives there. |

| This is the main route I ride to work. Both Pico and Olympic are busy during commuting hours. When the Olympic Pico One Way takes effect the traffic will be even more dangerous. There needs to be a plan to help bike safety along this route. There is no direct east / west alternative for bikes - Santa Monica Blvd. is too far North and doesn't have a bike lane the whole way, and Venice Blvd. is too far South. |

| La Cienega Boulevard is notorious for its bike unfriendliness and Crescent Heights provides a great and much safer alternative getting you north and south. The staggered section can get a cyclist to Venice Boulevard by bypassing La Cienega under the 10 Freeway. |
