| This Tour of California time trial occurred in 2006. Floyd Landis won the stage in 35:58. It's an extremely scenic route. There is often an extremely strong headwind on the way back along Santa Teresa. |

Head-wind going north.
Once your reach the wet-lands of Alviso, be sure to check out the National Wild-life preserve which includes the "Alviso Slough Trail - 8.9 mile loop trail on levees between marshes and salt evaporation ponds. Starts and finishes at the Alviso Marina. Great for bicycling and walking (No dogs, motorcycles, or hunting allowed)
Also, check out the view from the top of the tower located in the Refugee Environmental Education Center
Consider checking out the nearby ghost town of Drawbridge, which is sinking into the bay. "Drawbridge began as a gaming village. With the 1920's and prohibition, the town boomed for a while as people rode special trains out to Drawbridge. However it was essentially abandoned in the 1930's with the end of prohibition" -rubi
