| Nice ride, bit of a hill climb in first third (going counter-clockwise) which offers a breathtaking view of the Rockey Mountains. Highway 549 definitely the least smooth part of the road, but still fairly high quality. |

| Very hilly heading west into Chain Lakes area. Expect a west wind along the foothills which is typical of Alberta. Don't forget to stop in Longview for beef jerky, Black Diamond for a latte and in Turner Valley for the best burger in Alberta at the Chuckwagon restaurant. |
