| From Walnut rove, Langley through Derby Reach Park, Fort Langley, Aldergrove to the Aldergrove border crossing and along 0 Avenue to Cambell Valley Park into Surrey, around Barnston Island and Home. I have tried to avoid the higher traffic routes and stayed mostly on rural roads except for 264th Street. |

| The route: Ft. Langley to Blaine; cross the border early AM, it gets busy. Blaine to Bellingham; backroads are scenic and mostly quiet. Bellingham to La Connor; We chose to follow the route next to I5 highway, it is safer than cycling south [steep edges, traffic mid-day] on the Chuckanut. Also while entering Bay View Camp / La Connor, consider Bow Hill Road [quiet] or Farm to Market Road [good] instead of the East segment of Josh Wilson Road [steep hill, w/ no shoulder, +trucks]. Return La Connor to Bellingham; definitely The Chuckanut, views are magnificent with low traffic in the morning [a few challenging hills though you will be cycling opposite the steep edge], historic Fairhaven village in Bellingham offers excellent cafés, then it’s off to Langley with a basket of bread and pastoral scenes on the backroads. |
