| Hilly metric century from Frederick, MD. These are some of my favorite roads and hills. Be especially careful on the descent of Highland School road, remembering that there can be deer, oncoming cars, and occasional gravel on the pavement. There are stores at mile 18.6 (in Wolfsville) and mile 45 (a Sheetz in Thurmont just east of route 15) (thanks to B. Randolph!) |

| In 1903 the first Tour de France was held. The roads were rough and unpaved. This ride seeks out similar conditions. Expect gravel, ruts, bumps and plenty of rural riding at it's finest. A mix of pavement and dirt road riding. This ride includes 3 covered bridges. |
