| [TRAINING WITH THE PROS] This circuit is based on the TACX video 'Train with Cadel Evans' whilst in Switzerland preparing for the Tour de France and the Olympic road race and, in turn, apparently takes in a favourite course near his house close to lake Lugano. There are hills here with slopes up to 20% and many, many turns; you will encounter it all on this Ardennes like course. Cadel Evans does it in 40 minutes. How fast can you ride it? Will you meet him on route? |

68 km are unsurfaced and the grade and conditions are easy if you exclude Oberalp Pass.
The Rhine Route crosses Eastern Switzerland in a huge arc, accompanying the mighty Alpine river from its mountain source to the major Rhine port of Basel.
A true mountain pass excursion over Oberalp, the source of the Rhine, through Romansh-speaking Surselva. Impressive views into the wild Ruinaulta Gorge; Chur, the Rhaetian capital; with the Traubenkocher (warm wind) through the Bündner Herrschaft and on the Rhine dam to the wide Bodensee. Orchards, castles and cheerful tourist chatter along the shores of the green and silver shimmering «Schwabian Sea».
Peaceful, dense woodland to the thundering Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen. Mighty river tamed by 11 power stations. Along the route: romantic riverside paths, asparagus fields, timber-framed houses, pylons, salt towers, motorways, Swiss-German bridge towns, Roman ruins, agglomeration bustle and at last Basel's sweet speciality, Läckerli biscuits and freight ships in the three-country corner around Basel. |

26km are unsurfaced and the grade and conditions are easy if you exclude Furka Pass and Ernen-Mörel.
The Rhone Route runs through the magnificent mountain scenery of the Valais, embracing glistening Lac Léman.
After treeless Alpine pastures in Urserental, a perspiring climb up Furkapass followed by a heady downhill ride past the melting ice towers of the Rhone Glacier. Through Goms, the wide, sunny high-level valley of the young Rhone. Flower-filled fields and the aroma of resin accompany you almost to Brig, the main town of the upper Valais.
The main valley widens, sun heats the mountain flanks. Before the lively towns of Sierre und Sion, an unruly section of the Rhone widens out; the Pfynwald nature reserve on a huge detritus mound. The Dents du Midi dominates the mountain scenery in the lower Rhonetal. A world of orchards and vineyards.
Lac Léman, a small silver sea, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and the vineyard landscape of Lavaux and La Côte. Along the shores, the towns of Vevey, Montreux, the Vaud metropolis of Lausanne, then Nyon and cosmopolitan Genève. |

| [CYCLING CLASSIC] Paris Roubaix known to many riders as ‘The Hell of the North’, is world famous for being one of the toughest & oldest sporting events on the planet. The most important part of the race takes you over poorly maintained cobbled roads & tracks preserved from a long bygone era. On the TACX DVD you would follow Alex an English (Belgium based) Tacx rider. He starts at the Wallers Arenberg forest (the famous gateway at ‘Pont Gibus’) and rides the last 80 km of this infernal classic - including the main bulk of these feared cobbles, to Carrefour de l’Árbre on a beautiful sunny Spring day. Here you can plan it for yourself. It's not any climbing that will get you, it's the damned cobbles - be prepared! |

| [CYCLING CLASSIC] The TACX film of this route evokes the atmosphere of genuine competition. The Ronde van Vlaanderen is a world-famous classic, varied and unpredictable. ’Vlaanderens mooiste’, the term of endearment that Belgian cycling fanatics use for this race, is famous for its many short, steep climbs, the likes of ‘Kruisberg’ and ‘Oude Kwaremont’, fast descents, narrow, windy roads and treacherous cobblestones. Thousands of spectators are on the side of the road, cheering you on. You will feel like being in the lead of the race.
** The course is varied and unpredictable, with thousands of people lining the roads and cheering you on: it gives you the feeling of being the front runner.
This classic, world-class event conjures up a real racing atmosphere. The final 104 km of the 2007 Pro race route was filmed from a car that drove ahead of the peloton, giving the impression that you are the leader of the race. After a flat 10 km warm up 15 well-known classic Tour of Flanders' ascents such as the Kluisberg, the Oude-Kwaremont and the super steep Paterberg follow each other in rapid succession. After the Bosberg, you will finish in style at the finish line in Ninove.
Ascents:
• Kluisberg - Knokteberg - Oude Kwaremont - Paterberg - Kortekeer - Steenbeekdries - Taaienberg - Eikenberg - Leberg - Berendries - Valkenberg - Tenbosse - Eikenmolen - Kapelmuur - Bosberg.
Shortest climb Leberg 0.6Km; longest Oude-Kwaremont 1.9km; Max. Gradient - 12.5%.
The course (103.8 km)
• Start in Oudenaarde at about 152km into the 259km long race & follows the 2007 Pro race route from that point - Kluisbergen - Brakel - Geraardsbergen - Denderwindeke - finishes in Meerbeke (Ninove)
Course information:
The Tour of Flanders is a classic, world-class event, traditionally ridden the first Sunday in April. Starting at the same point of our popular original 2004 woman's race in Oudenaarde. This time though we lead the sunny 2007 pro race taking in 10 km of flat roads to warm up towards Kluisbergen before starting the relentless crowded steep climbs that make the Pro race one of the toughest single day events in the sport. Witness the legendary climbs like the lactate building epic of the Oude Kwaremont or the thigh busting steepness of the Paterberg from the eyes of a rider. Perfect training for those that want to help build up their VO2 max Belgium style while also building endurance.
2007 featured the warmest April on record, The hills are short and steep, the descents rapid. The ascents alternate between flat, narrow roads, sometimes paved with rough cobblestones. The course is tortuous, unpredictable and often difficult to negotiate. It requires maximum concentration. The world of racing is brutally challenging & this route highlights this point in neon. The strongest cyclists ride at the front. Mistakes are quickly punished.
* From the 18 climbs included in the 2007 race we miss just 3 (the first 2 that come before the start of filming & hill number 11 the Boigneberg). For a total of 15 famous climbs! Top of the Kapelmuur has film taken outside of the race due to restrictions on traffic during race day. |

| [CYCLE TOUR] This route of Bergen-Voss is not only Norway’s biggest and best-known cyclosportive event, but also one of the world’s most scenic tours. The TACX DVD is 90 kilometres long ride, filmed during the event in June 2011, takes in the last half of the race, following fairly easy, undulating roads along the sides of the famous fjords between the coastal town of Bergen and the ski resort of Voss. Towards the end one longer climb appears, but the slopes are not so steep and halfway up there is a reward of a spectacular waterfall. Bergen-Voss is breathtakingly beautiful. |
