A nice day trip from Rotterdam from the TravellingTwo (http://travellingtwo.com). We did this route with the Wereldfietser bike club. You go first to Delft, through pretty countryside and along canals, then out to the sea (where you can have a coffee at the beach) and back again.

The finish of the first stage of this Tour is in Brussels. to celebrate the 65th birthday of Eddy Merckx. The Tour will be crossing the Flanders region and will enter Belgium via Antwerp. The finish of this completely flat stage will take place in front of the Roi Baudouin stadium.

[CYCLING CLASSIC] This TACX (T1956.22) ride (based on the Green Heart Classic ride of 2007) is set between the four largest cities in the Netherlands, a largely rural farming area with many fine old Dutch towns and villages. In addition there are ponds, rivers and many more beautiful sights as well as having its own cycling tour - if it can find further sponsors! The unique feature of this event is that virtually the entire course lies several meters below sea level and hence does not have any climbs any worse than motorway over or underpasses!

This route connects the P&O ferry terminal at Europoort with the Rotterdam Centraal railway station, using the brilliant Benelux bike tunnel to cross the Nieuwe Maas. P&O take bikes, but can't supply any route map, so I hope this will be of use to somebody. I rode it August 2008. An alternative (quieter) Rotterdam central section can be found on a route by Peter Hilton at http://hilton.org.uk/. Another alternative, using the Maasluis ferry, is at http://www.mallyclark.com/cycling/rotterdam-hull/
