[DOWNLOAD: CYCLING TOUR] The Aube Valley is ideal for a light ride or warm-up, because the route descends slightly while you are riding with the flow of the river L’Aube. The green, rural area and deserted villages add to the relaxed atmosphere of the French Champagne region. This route and associated Tacx video (T2055.05) is a remake of the first part (but about 6km further up river) of the Tacx Real Life Video from 2004 (T1956.07) which covers 78km of the Aube Valley.

[TRIATHLON] The Wildflower Triathlon in California, one of the USA’s biggest and most appealing sporting events, now has its own Tacx film (as of Dec. 2012). Follow the same undulating roads round Lake San Antonio used in the 2012 edition of the triathlon. The ride starts next to the lake with a fairly steep 1km long hill, but once you’re over that it’s fairly easy-going until much later into the ride. The roads in this remote and scenic part of the Golden State are very quiet, making this an ideal ride for every type of rider. The total distance of the film is 87 km.

[TRAINING WITH THE PROS] Preparing for the 2012 season, the riders of RadioShack-Nissan-Trek team came together for a training camp on Mallorca and they were joined by Tacx. You could follow Frank and Andy Schleck and their team mates on video or do this 82 km, 2,5 hour ride on undulating tarmac roads past palm trees, rock formations and sleeping villages yourself. What will it be? The training ride ends on the Coll de sa Batalla, a tough climb in the beautiful north of the island with a length of 8 kilometres and an average incline of 5%.

Starting just outside the town of Pego, the route heads south via Sagra and past lush orange groves to the climb to the village of Benimaurrell. After the ride down to the village of Jalon, you are then challenged by a great loop ride that takes you to the climb to Bernia and back to Jalon. On the DVD there is also the bonus 15 km climb to La Vall d’Ebo - but that's another route! |

[TRAINING WITH THE PROS] In December 2010, the 2011 Team Saxo Bank prepared itself for the new season during a training camp on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura. This is the route of the video shot for the TACX DVD. Here they joined the pros for a hard and solid 3 hour ride on the island’s wide and sloping tarmac roads, while taking in the views of the beautiful landscape. After warming up together, the team is then split up into smaller groups. You follow a small bunch of riders including Danish climber Chris Anker Sorensen and track world champion Michael Morkov.

[TRAINING WITH THE PROS] This route follows a TACX video of the Rabobank cycling team in Almeria (ES) 2010. The whole team takes part in the 100 km long endurance training, under Coach Louis Delahaije’s supervision, which is alternated with 4 individually ridden mountain intervals. You could ride amongst world class pros like Robert Gesink, Oscar Freire and Denis Menchov or, get on the route and do it for yourself - but you will miss observing their riding style at first hand and maybe improve your own technique. The training video ends with a few short sprints from a virtual standstill - all from the perspective of a helmet cam.
