| We have been riding to Ravine State Gardens in Palatka on the last Sunday in February for more than 20 years. The purpose is to see the azaleas blooming in the park. CAUTION: I normally don't ride straight down US 17 into Green Cove Springs ...but we want to get down there and over the Shands Bridge as early as possible. I only ride this bridge once a year. We keep the group together and claim the lane. I am not recommending this as an acceptable bridge for anyone at just anytime. Early on a Sunday morning it's passable. | |||||

| This is a mostly low-traffic route between Lake Buena Vista-Vineland and Dr. Phillips. The sidewalks on Apopka-Vineland are a bit narrow but have few road crossings, so they are a reasonable alternative to the road. | |||||

| Parts of this route only work WESTBOUND. I did ride this 9/2/08 during evening rush hour. Luckily I was headed downtown and the worst traffic was going the other way. The Beach Blvd. Intracoastal Bridge is not completed yet. There was a sidewalk on the westbound side ...which I did use. Hopefully there will be bike lanes when both spans are completed. Beach does have a bike lane after the bridge, west to Parental Home Road. | |||||
