Passing through: Stenhousemuir, Letham, Airth, Dunmore, South Alloa, Throsk, Cowie, via Plane Castle, Stenhousemuir. In the north part of Falkirk District: This route takes you through some of the varied villages and scenes typical of the area bordering the Forth. As the Ochils loom larger and the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle become ever more visible, you can have a rest if you wish at the Dunmore Pineapple . Nice views towards the Ochil Hills at times and very rich countryside. Some very flat floodplains and a few bumps along the way make for a good quality ride for someone with a laid back cycling approach and an appreciation of the rich farmlands and stunning Scottish views.
