| Taking in a variety of roads, some busy but most very quiet. Takes in the short but very steep Buttermilk Bank near Abbots Bromley. Beware the signs, they only state 13% but my Garmin Edge 705 recorded over 25 for most of the hill and a max of 29% near the top. |

| A nice short ride from Rugeley through Hednesford to Chasewater, avoiding the busy A460. Stop at Chasewater to cycle round the lake or visit the railway, before continuing back along much quieter country roads through Hazelslade back to Rugeley. |

| Some good climbs & winding roads test the legs & some straight smooth stretches allow for good speed. The highlight of this route is the very steep Weston Bank. It is shorter & steeper if tackled going from Weston to Stafford. |

| A good afternoon cycle following the A51 from Rugeley to the edge of Stone, then hang a left & head along the A34 to Stafford before returning along the A513 via Milford to Rugeley. A total ascent of 1360ft, the steepest & highest at the midpoint of the ride. |
