| Approx 62k from Newton to US/Border. Route is via 64th, 176th, 0 Ave, 216th, 16th, 184th, 64th, 144 & 72nd. Watch the rail tracks on 64th @ 148th - a nasty angle, bike path is good guidance.
No bike lane on 176th up the hill between 32nd & 16th. Sidewalk has good paved portion however. |

| This was a Trek for Life preparation ride. We joined a Vancouver Bicycle Club group ride and was set up by Jessa from BC Lung Association. The VBC people were an excellent group of people and we had a great time. |

| This route starts near the Newton Wave pool, travels down King George Highway to the Peace Arch Border crossing.
Reenter Canada at the Aldergrove border crossing then travel through Langley, eventually returning to your starting point.
Moderate traffic along King George and through Langley, though good bike lines the vast majority of the way. Very low traffic on the US side of the border.
Some decent hills, especially at about the 6k mark in Surrey, and along H Street between Blaine and Lynden. Route finishes up with a hill up 142 Street so save some energy for that one.
Take your passport or other approved documentation (i.e. Nexus pass) to make the border crossing a smooth experience. |
