Fun stuff! Smooth fire roads but pretty grinding going up. Be happy about spinning in the lower gears! 2,257ft of climbing over five miles!

Beautiful views, but a lot of hike-a-bike as it's steep and VERY sandy. I can't do it w/ 24/30 gearing, maybe you can!!!

Great route across the crafton hills. All fire road or well maintained singletrack. Never too steep, never too flat. Just right...

Mixed terrain ride using fire trails through Crafton Hills and Wildwood Canyon State Park. Don't need a mtn. bike, but 35mm or larger tires are recommended. About nine miles of fire roads out of this 35 miler. Last section along San Timoteo is the best!
Whole lot o' climbing in the IE cyclotourist Apr 6th 2009, 11:10 68.7km
Leaving Redlands, climbing Crafton Hills fire road, dropping into Yucaipa then climbing over the hill to Wildwood State Park. That's a decision point: drop back down to Redlands or continue up Wildwood and drop into Cherry Valley and a return via San Timoteo Canyon. Note: I have not rode over the hill into Wildwood. Can't vouch for the north entrance point. The rest of it is a great all day ride though! Fat tires are VERY helpful, although a mountain bike is overkill. All road bike w/ fatties and drops is best.

Best loop in the bunch. Two sections of singletrack totalling about six miles. Lots of back roads with little traffic. Some elevation gain, but not enough to cry over.

This is just a "what if" sort of a route... basically showing three distinct rides mashed together. 70 miles with 11K of climbing. Got it in you? About 20 miles could be cut out of it if you wanted to park at the Mentone CDF station on Bryant/Mill Creek. This route utilizes trails and fire roads (very little singletrack) that goes up to Angelus Oaks, out to Forest Falls, climbs the back way to Oak Glen, then drops into Yucaipa. (note this portion requires permission to pass private property in Forest Falls - http://www.sbvas.org/bearpaw.htm for permission). Finishing up on Crafton Hills Fire Road which could be taken out to make it only slightly less epic of a ride.

20 miles of dirty sweaty fun. Very doable fireroads and unmaintained highway. Route downhill out of Angelus Oaks is deteriorating really badly, so don't get crazy on the downhills. 6,000 ft of elevation gain will get your heart pumping!

Out and back ride to Loma Linda Hills and the Jedi trail. Five miles to the trail head, than another two + up in the hills. Nothing steep until the actual "Jedi Trail", a few technical sections. Lots of sand. Fat tires are helpful, but not required by any means. Top of the trail gives GREAT views of Inland Valley.
