| This ride starts at Pizza Palace (920 Margaret St, 32204) in the Riverside area of Jacksonville. The route was planned for a 5:30am start in late August. Leaving town the streets are empty and mostly well lit. At 8.7 miles we reach the Jax-Baldwin Rail Trail for 14.6 more quiet miles. By the time we reach the end of the trail there'll be plenty of daylight for miles and miles of country roads. Stores are scarce on this ride ...so pay attention to the notes about them. The real reason that I started it at Pizza Palace will become evident when you finish. PIZZA!!! | |||||
