[CYCLE CLASSICS] Milan San-Remo 2004 (IT). AKA la Primavera, is the Italian spring classic. The season opener is known most of all for the gruelling distance (300 km/185 miles), the high speeds that are reached, the wide and smooth roads and the short climbs that make up the final bit of the course. This is the last 85km but includes the climbs of the Cipressa (239m) which is the highest point of the race; after cresting the Poggio (160m) you’ll finish on the Via Roma in San Remo.

[CYCLE TOUR] A scenic but also tough and challenging circuit of what is regarded as one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean region. The 85 kilometres long ride starts in the east of Elba and then heads inland and back to the coast, past beaches, villages, green and rocky hills and the azure coloured sea, glittering in the sun. The tour finishes with a lap of the famous Elbaman triathlon route. This takes in all the coastal roads to the west of Elba with views of the French island of Corsica in the distance.

[MOUNTAIN STAGE] Mont Ventoux 2011 (Bédoin)(FR): The Mont Ventoux is probably the most famous and most feared mountain that can be climbed in France. Conquering the Giant of Provence is a challenging adventure for every cyclist. The TACX film of this route starts just outside Malaucène and takes the road to Bédoin for the most used and most difficult climb to the top at 1912 metres. After descending back to Malaucène there is a scenic ride past the Dentelles de Montmirail to the finish in Sault. The ‘easier’ climb of the Mont Ventoux from the Sault side is available on the DVD Cols Collection III (T1956.68).
