Better to ride along the water I am sure. a bit steep going up to the plateau from Genoa but then it is flat flat flat with wonderful flooded fields and viaducts along the way. Fast. Awoid staying at the camp site where I ended up if you can. Expensive, staff were unfriendly and facilities were dirty. I was the only camper there, hmmm | |||||

| a little hilly through the cinque terre park. Quite steep into (and out of) Moneglia. The road along the coast from Moneglia is actually a tunnel and bikes are not allowed. I did not have the guts to ride through it although I have heard about others doing so using a stop watch and bursts of speed. I had the time and the ... to climb out of there. | This ends in riomaggiore, cinque terre. There was no camping there. I enjoyed the road above the five worlds more than the five worlds. Although pretty, the towns were populated by tourists not unlike myself. | |||||
