My commute from Hamble-le-Rice to the University of Southampton. Avoids main roads, much time on dedicated or shared cycle paths. Nice stretch along Southampton Water

[CYCLE TOUR] The New Forest was created about 1000 years ago as a hunting ground for the Norman, William the Conqueror. It’s now a National Park and a very nice location to cycle. Our route takes you from the bottom SE tip of the park next to the sea (The Solent) right up to the North of the park. We then head back to finish in its heart at Lyndhurst. On the way you will pass picture perfect houses with thatched roofs, The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, the deep oak & pine forests of Bolderwood, heathland and the famous New Forest ponies.
