| [TRIATHLON] The Wildflower Triathlon in California, one of the USA’s biggest and most appealing sporting events, now has its own Tacx film (as of Dec. 2012). Follow the same undulating roads round Lake San Antonio used in the 2012 edition of the triathlon. The ride starts next to the lake with a fairly steep 1km long hill, but once you’re over that it’s fairly easy-going until much later into the ride. The roads in this remote and scenic part of the Golden State are very quiet, making this an ideal ride for every type of rider. The total distance of the film is 87 km. |

| [CYCLE TOUR] Unlike the other films you will ride Tilff-Bastogne-Tilff surrounded by cyclo-tourists, you are one of them. Sometimes you and your friends will pass groups of other riders and sometimes they will overtake you. And from time to time you will sit on the wheel of a group that rides along nicely. During this tour ride, derived from classic Liège–Bastogne–Liège, you will encounter everything that makes this the most famous of classics. You will experience the Ardennes, with tough climbs and roads that are in bad condition at times. You will of course get to ride up La Redoute, one of the steepest climbs. Some riders cannot make it up on their bike and have to walk here. How about you? |

| [CYCLING CLASSIC] Tour of Flanders 2004 - Belgium. Here we follow the woman's Tour of Flanders starting outside the RVV center in Oudenaarde (same spot as the much longer 2007 Pro version). This ride misses most of the well known climbs, but remains hard, was a very popular ride and still finds gradients up to 20%! |

| [CYCLING CLASSIC] Liège-Bastogne-Liège not only is the oldest cycling classic in the world, but also one of the toughest. This is your chance to conquer the steep hills in the beautiful Ardennes region in Belgium. The TACX film is 90km with a max slope of 16%, starts in Stavelot and takes you to a series of challenging climbs: Col de Stockeu, Côte de Werhai, Les Quartiers, Côte de Jevigne, Côte de la Redoute and Côte du Hornay. After reaching the top of the last hill, the final descent to the city of Liège is your well-deserved reward. |

| An EXPERT ride in an area through the idylls and airfields that surround the town of Gadalming (NB The first town in the world to have electric public street lighting). Not renown for easy, traffic free riding - the area is criss-crossed by major arterial roads from London and between major towns of the area. But this ride should allow you to find the home counties idyll that so inspired poet laureate John betjeman nd is epitomised in his poem 'A Subaltern's Love-song. Given good weather you too can become 'furnish'd' and burnish'd' by the same sun that rendered Miss J Hunter Dunn so beautiful.
GEARS: 39x23, better a 39x25, but a compact is best to enjoy the finishing climbs; BIKE SHOP: Godalming Cycles 01483 420036; INFO: www.godalming-tc.gov.uk |
