| Starts in downtown Southport, CT, but east coast greenway gives suggestions all the way from New Haven.
Created by cobling together the East Coast Greenway suggestions
( http://www.greenway.org/maps/googlemaps.htm )
with personal experience and the NY City bike map ( http://home2.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/bicyclists/bikemaps.shtml ). I haven't actually tried it, and probably won't for at least a year, so if anyone can vouch for sections or has done the whole thing please say something in the comments.
I do know for sure that it is safe all the way from Fairfield to East Norwalk. |

| I typically start from home so this is about a 20 mile loop for me, a mile or 2 shorter if you start from the Larkin trail head. There are some Steep steady climbs, scenic views and relativey safe except at the intersection of Rt. 63 & 64. I suggest jumping on the Middlebury greenway bike trail for a short distance to avoid the intersection. |

| Mostly flat, this ride starts in a nice Church parking lot in the East End of Waterbury, and goes to a Connecticut state park about 12 miles away, via local roads all the way. Busy "downtown" area, but otherwise not bad. Restrooms and water at the State Park, which you can ride into for free (on your bike). |
