I commute this route in the evenings on my way home from Emeryville to Oakland's Glenview neighborhood. The steepest portion is the climb up Trestle Glen leading to Park Boulevard.

This is my bicycle commute from the Glenview District of Oakland to Emeryville. It's mostly downhill until hitting Lake Merrit. I usually take Trestle Glen on the return route rather than climbing MacArthur.
