Gladesville Bridge sucks - this important route has no provision for bikes at all. This is a fairly fast route over the bridge city-bound, which is mostly on-road (fast multi-lane highway), but cuts onto the bridge pathway for the actual bridge itself. You will need to be very confident in traffic, and I wouldn't recommend it if there is heavy, fast-moving traffic. For a fully off-road version, check out my other route. Gladesville Bridge is a horror for cyclists. This is a description of how to get over Gladesville Bridge from Linley Point whilst staying on paths. This route requires you to ride over a couple of short stretches of (bumpy) grass. It's not a particularly easy route, and it is quite frustrating, but it's one I sometimes take if the traffic is unpleasant. Use the 'satellite' view at high zoom to see where the paths are.
