Loop takes you to Hanover and will take you to the Utz Potato Chip Factory where you can take the free self guided tour. | This was the "Tour of Hope" charity ride held on October 9th 2004. Ride started at the Georgetown Prep School in Bethesda. Approximately 1500 cyclists participated. All donated a minimum of $500 to participate. Ride was led by Lance Armstrong and other members of the US Postal cyclng team. The end of the charity ride coincided with the finish of the "Tour of Hope" cross country ride. |

| Ridden on July 24, 2004. Ride begins and ends at the Hilltop House Hotel in Harpers Ferry, WV. Ride takes you to Sharpsburg via the C&O Canal Towpath. After touring the Antietam Battlefield, and a stop in downtown Sharpsburg for lunch, the route takes you back to the C&O to Harpers Ferry. |

| Ridden on April 10, 2008. Ride begins and ends at a municipal parking lot in downtown Morgantown WV, less than 1 mile from the trail. Take trail south to Fort Fredrick. Visit the Fort, then turn around and come home. A very nice afternoon ride. Ride can easily be done on a hybrid (no skinny tires) |

| Road on April 4, 2009. The climb back up Piney Mountain certainly is an attention getter. I had to stop twice to catch my breath. Tower Road is a hard packed dirt and gravel road. Remainder of route is on asphalt. |
