County Road 25E, west of Horsetooth Mountain Park, has impressive scenery, is accessible to intermediate strength cyclists, and is an apparently little-known bike ride. Co 25E is unpaved, has a mild washboard surface, and is unsuitable for some road bikes.

This is a roughly 27 mile ride that climbs up some of the steep hills in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood, immediately north of Tucson. There are plenty of opportunities for more climbing in this neighborhood.

This bike ride takes you from Fort Collins to Red Feather Lakes. Some segments are unpaved, but it probably doesn't require a mountain bike. Alternate routes that dramatically increase the difficulty of the ride are mentioned in the cue sheets.

This is a challenging, quiet bike ride in the mountains west of Fort Collins. Long segments are unpaved, but it probably doesn't require a mountain bike. One segment is impassable during the winter. The cue sheets note some ideas for extra climbing directly off of the route.

This route takes you on quiet roads northwest of Aberdeen. Most of the route is fairly flat, but it becomes moderately hilly west of Leola. Say hello to the farm dogs who may chase you down along the way; all of the ones I've met are friendly.

This is a very difficult bike route that circumnavigates and climbs to the top of Mount Lemmon. The total climbing is between 11,000 and 12,000 ft, wildly underestimated by the profile feature. It requires a mountain bike.
