Cons: Very steep. Luckily I installed a low gear cassette. Some hi-way with unmaintained shoulders, some roads could use some repaving, a small piece of dirt road. Pros: Very scenic. Some park road, some blocked-off road, some rail-to-trail. Note: Route 9 has two problems. Watch out for the on ramp speed bumps, very bad. Some of the bridges near Boston have no bike lane. I just exited and re-entered on the other side. I did this solo on a road bike with 90lbs of gear.
