Apart form the first open moorland crossing to Malham Tarn, the limestone landscape keeps this route pretty well drained all year round. Despite lots of tourists, there's room for everyone. A year-round ride.

Voluntary ban on mountain bikers runs from May-October, between 5pm and 9am. Out of this period you can ride any time. Trails can be crowded at weekend, and be aware of the severe weather/mountain conditions on Snowdon.

The drier the better. The Mynydd Llangorse hillsides remain rideable even after rain, but on Allt yr Esgair it's trickier when the terrain is sticky.
