| This routes you from the brand-new Cathedral of the Crystal Light on Lake Merritt to downtown Castro Valley, for a quick ice-cream cone at Swenson's old-fashioned parlor. The route is for confident, skilled vehicular cyclists, mostly running along International Boulevard. The entry starts from the cathedral and then around the lake. Once around the lake, you'll run mostly along International/E 14th St to 150th or 164th to get underneat the I-580 bridges. You'll then pass the Neighborhood Church, at the foot of three ENORMOUS crosses, easily visible for 5 miles on a clear day. You[ll arrive on Castro Valley Boulevard.
