| Starting at the end of Dial Road near a locked gate, you head up Dial Road for a while, and turn right on to Ironcliffe Road. You'll reach the Mt Duncan carpark after a bit more of a climb, and the track you want to take is an overgrown road just before the carpark - it's pretty obvious. You then ride down that road - probably one of the most fun bits of track around - it's an old tramway, with some pretty exciting washouts, and flowing track. Take care around some of the washouts, kids. At the bottom of this track you'll come in to an area commonly used by local motos - try to follow the tracks they don't use much - they are much better to ride. Forestry Tas have a good map of the rides in the Dial Range - get a copy and get exploring - lots of good rides throughout the Dial Range. |

| A nice little mountain bike ride near Burnie - easy riding distance from town. Basically, you ride up Fernglade Road, and then and take the turn offs shown - the only tricky bit navigation wise, is when you head off Rutherford Road over a gate on to an laneway and down to the track which follows the river. From there, you pretty much follow the track along the river back down to Fernglade. Take care on this track kids as there's some steep exposed parts. |
