| Fantastic mountain route. Steep climb then most of track is round mountains on slow climb. Descent a bit more rubbly. In 2 hours on track met only 4 people & 4 motorbikes. |

| Mixture of rough track and concrete road. Perfect for mountain bikers, go for it - route to the top of the mountain. I'm a road bike man, but certainly much easier than routes like helvellyn back home. Go early in day - its hot! |

| A truly epic climb. Tarmacced, and good for road bikes, to Ayios Eleftherios - 10km short of summit. Smooth track gives way to rough track to rubbly track. National park section (last 8 km to summit) is tough but shady. Took me 2 hrs 50 mins to national park, 4 hours to summit from Skala on local-hire MTB (from Sunbird in Skala). Way down is twice distance on rubbly track so may want to go back down the same way as up, if not experienced MTB rider. Note: last place to buy water is cafe in Charakti, 2 hrs from summit. Stunning views. |
