Connecting Oakmont Park to Creekside using as much dirt as possible. Can do it on a cross-bike with knobbies. Once you get up to Sunset, there is very minimal climbing.

Begin in Redlands, work way out to SART in Mentone, then ride up to Bryant. Back down Oak Glen to Live Oak, San Timoteo, hopping on Carriage Trail for last bit of dirt.

My favorite ride. Just about 30 miles of mixed terrain fun in town. Miles 17-23 are all dirt, so that can be avoided if you bike is too delicate.

100K through the inland IE. Incorporates significant sections of dirt roads & trails. A small bit of singletrack climbing in Yucaipa to get up the back side of the Crafton Hills. That can be bypassed and just go down Mill Creek, but it's really not that bad, even on slicks. I'd recommend at least 30mm tires, 35mm slight knobby would be great.

GREAT 40 mile loop out of Redlands. Some pretty constant climbing, then FAST downhill and wonderful full speed ride through San Timoteo Canyon. Don't let anyone tell you San Tim is dangerous. Yeah, it's narrow, but big deal.

Almost 12 miles round, most on great bike path! You can go through Newport Dunes Resort, or bypass to get right on the bike path (or go over bridge to cut out a bit). If you have kids, it's great to stop @ have them play for a minute or two.

Approx. 30 mile look around the IE. Riding the SART is fantastic, hopefully they will finish the portion to Redlands. This route mixes in a mile or so of the multi-trail along San Timoteo Creek. It's smooth and flat, so delicate road bikes can even ride on it.

Bring water, but don't stress out on be in the "back country". You're always within 1/2 a mile of civilization at any given point. NO need to have a double-squish mtn. bike. I ride this on 35mm Paselas with no drama.

This 17 mile loop stitches three of the best trials in Redlands together. Takes about two hours and involves a little bit of hike-a-bike on the "Deer Trail" portion. 2000ft. of climbing, most in the first four miles, but never really steep.
