Start at Woodside, up King's Mountain and back benz Oct 7th 2008, 03:31 17.5km
This is an alternate loop I do almost every Sunday morning with a bunch of other riders. We meet up at Woodside bakery (great pastries!) and warm up to the bottom of King's Mtn. Then it's sweat and tears all the way to Skyline. Once at Skyline, backtrack to Woodside bakery and for some well-deserved refreshments. The distance isn't too long but there is a fair bit of climbing. I usually ride to Woodside bakery for good measure.

This is an alternate loop I do almost every Sunday morning with a bunch of other riders. We meet up at Woodside bakery (great pastries!) and warm up to the bottom of King's Mtn. Then it's sweat and tears all the way to Skyline. Then there are a few rollers until we reach Alice's at the junction of 84 and Skyline. At this point, we take a left down 84 and end up at Woodside bakery again for some well-deserved refreshments. The distance isn't too long but there is a lot of climbing. I usually ride to Woodside bakery for good measure.

This is an alternate loop I do almost every Sunday morning with a bunch of other riders. We meet up at Woodside bakery (great pastries!) and warm up to the bottom of Old La Honda. Then it's sweat and tears all the way to Skyline. Then we continue on Skyline and climb some more to the junction of King's Mtn and Skyline. At this point, we take a right down King's Mtn and end up at Woodside bakery again for some well-deserved refreshments. The distance isn't too long but there is a lot of climbing (there's quite a bit more even after the challenging climb up Old La Honda). I usually ride to Woodside bakery for good measure.

I used to do this ride every Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The rides usually average better than 40 kph and hit speeds exceeding 50 kph on the return leg when everyone's trying to drop everyone else. There's usually a sprint right near the junction of Pandan Road and Jalan Buroh.

Ride from South San Francisco (near SFO) to the heart of Silicon Valley. Not too much climbing and a frequent tailwind helps in moving things along.

Starts and ends at downtown Los Altos where there're Peet's and Jamba Juice. This loop travels via Foothill expy/Junipero Serra/Alpine to Old La Honda. After the infamous Old La Honda climb to Skyline, the loop goes down the west side of Old La Honda to join up with La Honda Road (hwy 84) at the town of La Honda. Proceeding westward, the route takes a right into Stage Road. At Hwy 1, a right and 1.5 miles later, another right will bring Tunitas Creek Road. Take this uphill back to Skyline and then a quick hop across Skyline will bring a nice downhill section in Kings Mtn Road. At the conclusion of Kings Mtn Road, make a left into Woodside to arrive at the town of Woodside. Routing via Whiskey Hill, Sand Hill and then Junipero Serra will bring Foothill expy.
