| A fairly flat ride along river, short climb to Plana and 2 km downhill to spectacular observatory. Return is easy. Trip total about 25km. Lots of small mahali to explore as side trips via road or local connecting tracks. Took about 2 hours of riding time from the alternative starting point. |

| A return trip of about 22 km. Leave the mining town of Gabra and head into the private deerpark. It is a quiet almost deserted blacktop road with fairly gentle climbs. |
