Planned Ride 24/25th April. Starts and finishes at the Hathersage Pool Cafe, with optional swim set first. Planned Clockwise route where we have a gentle warm up ride out to the first climb and Mam Nick, then undulating around Wornhill to take on the Meadow Lane climb out of Millers Dale. Drift down and around Cressbrook before taking on the mighty Monsal Head. Climbing out of Ashfood and the back road into Bakewell and Luncheon. Undulate for the next 20 miles and then climb out of Daley Dale along the moor and drop down the infamous Curbar Gap (i accidently planned the route down, but you could always rep it if your still feeling good) Ive left the Froggatt hill (HH course) due to the traffic and I thought we should visit Eyam due to its significance in English Plague history, although we first pass through to climb out of Foolow - Bretton before popping out at the well. We then drift downhill all the way home taking in the mental descent that is Sir William Hill (Girlies brake first!) and the dropping down the positively alpine descent to the Lead Mill. Special points for admiring the sunny crags in the distance whislt yanking the brakes and greeting the teeth! A good outting, topped off by trying to climbing back into Hathersage in the big ring with legs of lactate!
