| Starting at Bells Mill, right onto Falls Road, then left to Glen Road, right to Travilah Road, left to Turkey Foot Road, left to Darnestown Road (28), right to Peach Tree Road, left to Sellman Road, right to Beallsville Road (109), continue on 109 as it becomes Old Hundred Road, left onto Comus Road (95) to Sugarloaf Mountain Drive, right back to Comus Road, left to Mt Ephraim Road, bear right to stay on Mt Ephraim (95) at split with W Harris Road, left to Big Woods Road (where 95 reaches 28), right onto Beallsville Road (109), stay on 109 through intersection with Whites Ferry Road (107) in Poolesville and continue on W Willard Road, left to River Road, continue all the way back on River Road to Potomac Center, left to Falls Road (189), right to Bells Mill Road. |

Although some sections are on smaller roads this route cannot avoid all traffic. Larger roads do have wide shoulders and / or marked bike lanes. |

| Ride to avoid River Road. Not flat but (hopefully) not brutally hilly, either.
This route tries to avoid busier roads and also River Road which has lots of hills. However, the alternatives must also pass over much of the same terrain... |
