| Mostly flat terrain with a beautiful climb called Canicas (Vereda de Canicas Alta). From Puente de Piedra to the Canicas pass it is a gorgeous rural landscape. There is high traffic from Siberia to Puente de Piedra, but bikes can ride on the shoulder with plenty of space. The path is full of bikes. From Puente de Piedra to Subachoque the traffic is low and even lower from Subachoque to Canicas. | |||||

| This route to Villa de Leyva avoids the Autopista (highway). The first part of this route up to Sesquilé is in good road conditions. From the Highway heading to Suesca, the roads become dirt roads most of the time. At the end (near Cucunubá), there are good road conditions. There is a wide range of vegetation and landscapes, from the greener and dense forests near Bogotá (around La Calera) to the desertic terrain around Guatavita and Suesca. | |||||

| This is a tough and mythical Vuelta a Colombia stage. It has two tough mountain passes in hot and humid weather (Alto de la Mona, from Honda to Guaduas; and Alto del Trigo, from Guaduas to Villeta). From Villeta it is a continuous climb to Bogotá, from 800m to 2800m until you reach the Alto del Vino (hors categorie climb?). Traffic from Villeta to Honda is heavy (trucks) and the road is narro. From Villeta to Bogotá there are lots of cars, but the road is wider. | |||||
