This route circumnavigates the city of Atlanta and the metro area, starting at a point outside the Perimeter (I-285) and returning to that same point without ever crossing back inside the Perimeter. Total mileage is approximately 83 miles. Low point is 748 ft. High point is 1121 ft. You can go either direction and start from any point. Each direction has its own challenges and high points, especially different hills. Counter-clockwise is good but then so is clockwise.
