Start/finish: Keepers Pond (grid ref 2504 1007) Total Distance: 11km Total Ascent: 457m (1,500ft) Total Time: 1.5-3 hours A short route around the 561m Blorenge. Not suitable for the unskilled rider but a great blast taking in some proper off-piste riding.

This route is pretty hard but if you enjoy the offroad you can certainly enjoy that when you are on Mountain road, simply following the tracks off the road which can lead you up the mountain, you can even ride over to Cwmcarn off road course from there. Enjoy

Start/Finish: Whistle Inn (grid ref 228 102) Total Distance: 20km Total Ascent: 792m (2,600ft) Total Time: 2.5-5 hours An original route that omits the Sugar Loaf, along with the out-and-back nature of the Classic ride. You still get one mountain and a joy ride across the coal tips, though.

The drier the better. The Mynydd Llangorse hillsides remain rideable even after rain, but on Allt yr Esgair it's trickier when the terrain is sticky.
