2006 Shimano Dura-Ace Rear Derailleur RD-7800
You like slick gear changes, right? The Dura-Ace Rear Derailleur offers gear shifting with a level of slickness possibly exceeding the Exxon-Valdez - in fact you might even forget to pedal.
Knocking 15 grams off the weight of the previous model, make sure you attach this baby securely to your frame, or it might just float away.

What Shimano says about the RD-7800:
New wide link design is lighter, more rigid and durable. The increased rigidity stabilizes the chain as it glides up and down the sprockets. Less play means rear indexed shifting is not only quicker, more precise and reliable, but it also insures better indexing over many more road miles.
Apparently one of their very satisfied (perhaps a little too satisfied?) customers reckons “It shifts like a brand new derailleur, even after 5000 miles”.
In which case Shimano may well struggle to shift next years model to their most loyal customers. Ok, I'll admit that's an unlikely scenario.
