The way points of this bicycle route:

homewood cycles parking lot

ride meets here at 5:00. during the beginning and end of daylight savings the ride will leave close to 5. There are generally 1,2 or 3 groups leaving at staggered times and of different skill levels.

crescent ave.

turn right

stucco district(hollywood)

turn left on poinciana

zoo (smell it?)

turn right after you go under the overpass.

mountain brook

this doesn't look like much on the map, but you will come to an intersection- you have to cross a median road- cross and turn left.

crestline village

turn right on euclid ave. this is a heavily traffic area (stay to the right) and use caution.

crestline

take a right here to swing by the birmingham bicycle company and pick up riders staged here. this is a fairly new addition to the ride since bbc opened.

i -ron -da -le

this is the last point of sanity for approx. 1hr. or, this is where the therapuedic effect kicks in.

irondale

some wise guy is going to start turning the screws right here

the entrance to my pain cave

hello 30 mph!

roebuck

watch the gaps. there is usually enough horsepower in the main group to monitor everything. but, if the top dogs are restless it could all end here.

roebuck

careful right here. some riders are going to cut through a gas station parking lot strewn with rocks

homewood cycles parking lot

it's over.
