The way points of this bicycle route:
nice example of English seaside pier. good ice cream across the road. oldest cinema in UK across the road too.
dedicated bike path from here to shoreham beach, though it's sometimes awkward to negotiate.
the lagoon has lots of interesting wild birds.
due to be replaced with a cycling capable bridge as part of sustrans upgrade to this route. someday.
interesting french market on east street some saturdays.
pretty village area. nice local theatre/arts centre.
we need to cross the lock here for Carat's Cafe. Or come in from the Hove side on the return journey and cross the lock to get back en route back to Worthing.
not certain exactly where the 'legal' bike path starts, but it's somewhere around here, and goes the rest of the way to brighton pier.
very commercial pier. lots of fast foods and arcades. kids, bless em', love it.
