| Expert Ride. Dartmoor is renowned for the challenging nature of its terrain. The effort required to climb steeply to well over 300m several times on this ride is well worth it though - the roads are largely quiet and the scenery exquisite, and the towns and villages you pass through en route have a typical country charm. Just plenty of Sussex countryside, several attractions to keep your mind occupied and, best of all, multiple opportunities for refreshment stops. A Classic ride with just one tough (but oligatory to say you have!) climb of Ditchling Beacon towards the end, so compact is fine but not essential. Rolling Sussex Weald (one climb) but a few deceptively tough drags.
