turn right at church for beach, clifftop cafe and WC (opp. car park)
Scenic National Trust windmill with tearoom & giftshop, walking trails. Seasonal, variable, opening times.
church on the left, Nelson Head pub on the right (at junction)
follow rough track on right to the beach, sand dunes etc. Car park but no services or cycle parking
turn right (into Beach Rd) for beach, cafe, pub, chip shop, public WC
some maps state this as Hickling Road but the siognpost says Hickling Lane. It is just past the old (WW 1) round pillbox.
into Station Rd
cross main road (into, also called, Station Rd)
left into Bridge Rd
scenic riverside with seating next to the old bridge, tea & burger stalls, pub, WC
scenic riverside with seating next to the old bridge, tea & burger stalls, pub, WC
turn right
pub & WC along main road, pleasant walk along the staithe to Thurne windpump
turn right
Garden centre with tea room, WC and plants etc
petrol station on the left, sells sweets, coke etc
go home...
