The way points of this bicycle route:

croydon

Frederick St is busy and poorly maintained, however is generally wide enough to cycle on without being too bothered by cars.

haberfield

i ride along the footpath for the section between parramatta rd and the beginning of the bike path on dobroyd canal. this section of wattle st is two lanes, busy and has no verges.

follow the bike path all the way round the foreshore

leichhardt

follow the bike path onto lilyfield rd

cross victoria rd on the footbridge

rozelle

follow bike path all the way from victoria rd over anzac bridge

pyrmont

follow marked bike route through pyrmont and over pyrmont bridge. pyrmont bridge is shared use for cyclists and pedestrians.

Sydney CBD

shared cycle path and footbridge

i ride up sussex/hickson and then up a little st called napoleon st to kent st. when the new kent st bike path is created, it will probably be a lot easier to ride along kent st the entire way.

turn right from kent st

ride up to observatory hill. a footbridge crosses over the cahill expressway

the harbourbridge cycleway starts here.

milsons pt

the harbour bridge cycleway is on the far side of the train line. great views and lots of cyclists. watch out for the construction crews at the moment.

kirribilli

after descending from the harbour bridge cycleway, turn right (under the arch). turn left onto clark rd and straight through the roundabout. go straight through the next set of traffic lights (at high st). take care on the next section. its a fairly fast downhill, with little verge room. its best to take the whole lane.

neutral bay

go straight ahead on to rawson st. this is the start of a fairly long uphill.

turn right at the t intersection

ride up the hill

go around the dog leg and take the left hand turn. turn right onto yeo st.

follow yeo st and turn right onto rangers rd. watch out for lots of dumb car moves in yeo st.

turn right onto rangers rd.
