An attempt to reduce the N1 route to something more manageable in a day. I've used the 'cycle superhighway' 3 out of London rather than the Lea Valley, taken a short cut on the old Roman road out of Chelmsford, bypassed central Colchester, and used a more direct route through Harwich. Rode this route in April 2011 and it was largely fine - the version here is edited to remove a couple of problem sections.by stevems
