The way points of this bicycle route:
ellsworth is fairly busy- but a good weekend route, and a fairly good sized shoulder
left at light on golfside-left turn lane- narrow road- can watch the golfers- not much traffic
road goes to 2 lanes- gets a bit rougher shape here- but not too bad
up near college here- bike routes, wider lanes & shoulders
mathei entrance is a bit hidden- it's a nice place to stop off and check out their gardens-
turn right on plymouth- this next part is my least favorite part of the ride- fairly crappy road, and not much shoulder until you pass Ford road
ahhh- the pretty part of plymouth ann arbor road starts here- wide shoulder, great farms to look at
not really a turn here- just follow the road
veer left to get on ann arbor trail- get ready for some nice hills
alternate route to hines turn left at riverside drive coming up on the right
left onto haggerty at the light- fairly easy interchange here-
right onto hines drive- there's lots of bikers through here- wide shoulder, or an off the road bike route if you prefer
couple public areas with restrooms through here
sorry for the boring turn around here- it was time to head for home and i didn't have a good map of this area to do an alternate route

straight on plymouth- 2 lanes here- decent shoulder too
left on huron parkway-two lanes wide- not very wide though- there's decent sidewalks and some off street bike paths as an option
right on packard- 2 lanes wide, but not much room- keep your head up through here
