CONTROL: Get receipt from a business near the corner of FIRST Street and FOURTH Avenue. To begin route head north on Fourth AVE towards Colorado River, the railroad tracks, and California.

(R) Enter Interstate 8 heading WEST.
(Exit R) Exit Right to Sidewinder RD.
(L) Frontage Road (Center of the World Road)

(Exit) Exit and then enter Interstate 8. At the base of the ramp it is possible to take Evan Hewes HWY by taking a right, but the pavement is horrible. Route officially continues on Interstate 8.

CONTROL: Get receipt from business near intersection of Birch ST and Imperial AVE. Continue West on Birch (CA-98).
CAUTION: RR Crossing!
(R) Imperial Highway (S2). CAUTION: Immediately bumpy/rutted road!

CONTROL: Gas Station. Get a receipt and then continue north on S2.
(F!) Agua Caliente Store down the road on your left .5 km
CONTROL: Answer question in Permanent Card from information on historical marker.
(R) Wynola RD
(R) CA-78/79 (Julian RD). There is a pizza restaurant across the road from this turn.
