The way points of this bicycle route:

Allison Rd. Follow it west to a bridge over the Freeway.

Start of Yarramalong Rd. Nice quiet countryside and fairly flat all the way to Yarramalong.

Yarramalong

There is a general store here, as well as a pub. Bumble Hill Rd brancehes off to the left - see Wyong to Windsor via Wisemans Ferry Ride. This ride continues on up the Wyong River Valley.

Ravensdale Rd is on the right.

Cedar Brush

Road is now good quality gravel and climbs gradually through some beautiful timber.

Bridge under repair in Sept 2007, but bicycles could pass.

Walkers Ridge

Climb finishes here at Walkers Ridge Forest Rd. Turn left.

Turn right on to Murrays Run Rd . Nice new asphalt.

Steep downhill. Good quality asphalt.

End of descent. Road comes out in to a flat valley, following the Wollombi Brook. Back to gravel.

Plaque on a rock on the left commemorates the early settlers who moved here in the 1830's. Nice spot for a lunch break.

Good gravel road. Mostly flat. Watch for local dogs.

Right onto Great North Rd. Ashalt road. Some traffic.

Laguna

Small village. Watagan Rd comes in on right.

Cafe on left.

Wollombi

Small historic village. Has pub, shops, cafes and several historic buildings. Continue to Broke via Paynes Crossing, or Cessnock and Pokolbin via Wollombi Rd.
