Pass through stile and pass barrier onto Waggonway.

Turn L at junction
Pass Newburn Leisure Centre.
Go straight ahead at junction to traffic lights
Traffic lights for Newburn Bridge (go straight on)
Turn R at junction onto A6085
Roundabout
Go straight on at roundabout
Turn left after Total petrol station
Turn right onto tarmac cycle track (steep uphill)
Turn right at top of the hill and through barrier to cross footbridge
Pass through barrier and turn left after footbridge.
Pass through barrier
Go through barrier and turn left onto road.
Turn right at junction.
Pass Broadwood School
Turn right at junction
Turn L at roundabout onto A191
Cross West Road at Denton Pub - take care heavy traffic
Turn right onto Netherby Drive (steep uphill)
Traffic lights - go straight on Fenham Hall Drive
Traffic lights.
Approaching traffic lights cross to right lane (care)
Turn right at traffic lights
Cut left onto bike path.
Do not attempt to rejoin carriageway as indicated (very dangerous) - turn left along path and onto bike lane but take care to avoid pedestrians
Pass BBC centre
Turn right at traffic lights
Various options from here depending on where you are going in the University. I turn left through Richardson Road Flats.
Pass Sports Hall.
Pass Medical School
Continue down Lover's Lane
Pass Ridley Building
Exit onto Queen Victoria Rd
